Key Account Manager for Germany and Austria

Key Account Manager for Germany and Austria

Job Summary 
SCI-Services (, a Swiss-based company, is recruiting for a Key Account Manager and Product Representative Manager for Germany and Austria.

This position is responsible for managing our customer base, providing customer support and developing our local customer portfolio.

The KAM will be responsible to insure customer satisfaction from purchase order to product delivery and developing new business opportunities.

This position reports to the Sales Director based in Switzerland. we are looking for a winning Key Account Manager. The candidate will be possibly based in Germany.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) 

  • Prospect and gain new customers, 50% hunting & 50% farming
  • Focused on industrial locker business, cross-promoting the hygiene division products to existing customers and prospects
  • Recognize, evaluate and capitalize on potential opportunities for additional business within accounts
  • Insure customer satisfaction and customer support
  • Identify, qualify and quantify potential threats to accounts. Recommend and implement action plans
  • Pro-actively reach out to customers and prospects, with the aim to build relationships, promote our products
  • Take ownership of customer issues or needs to ensure that all aspects are solved until completion
  • Present and follow up on proposals and negotiation with the Sales Director
  • Interact with the dedicated customer services for Germany and Austria based in Switzerland
  • Communicate with our sourcing department to insure smooth delivery to customers
  • Collaborate with R&D department in Switzerland in the development of new products to meet customer needs
  • Regularly report to Sales Director.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least five years account management and/or business development experience mandatory
  • At least five years of experience in industrial laundry or janitorial hygiene required
  • Computer experience (Microsoft Office-excel, database, internet, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A trackable record of delivering consistent year-over-year sales growth

Knowledge and Skill

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - German native, English excellent
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Result oriented – hunter - willing to develop and grow
  • Highly organized with strong attention to details
  • Advanced spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • “Team-player” spirit
  • Ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency, time management
  • Be a self-starter and highly motivated person able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 90% of overnight travel (essentially Germany, Austria and Switzerland)
